With the odd choice of wording on the pole label, they may get the unfortunate nickname of "stiffy".
"Hey Jim Bob, can I jump on, uh, borrow your stiffy?"

Thats pretty cool
Oh and the training poles are ridiculously cheap R465 = 65USD
but I wonder how much shipping is?
That is for a 10'6" pole.
Shipping to the US would be outrageous. Just buy an Altius if you are looking for an inexpensive pole.

If you happen to be going there on vacation, you could always pick up a dozen poles and pay the oversize baggage fee to bring them back.

South African Rands
The Currency of South Africa is called the Rand. There are 6.9754 Rands per 1 U.S. Dollar as of Dec 12th 2006. The 13 foot series poles cost 1596 Rands. That converts to $228.80. The value of the Rand has been appreciating in comparison to the U.S. dollar. That same pole cost $206.93 if you bought it in October 2006. So you better buy these poles now because if things continue at this rate...you might have to pay $250 for that pole January 2007. Or you can ask Ben Bernanke at the Fed to start raising our interest rates...making U.S. treasuries more attractive to foreign investors...which in turn would cause the dollar to strengthen compared to the Rand. Yeah...that's right...I'm showing off!

Big Ben (eat it Rothlisburger) is one of the last people i expected to hear mentioned on this board! If this board had Karma like many others do, that would be +1K for the last 2 posts!!!

Re: New pole brand from South Africa
Anyone have any updates about this company? Their website only lists pretty small poles.

But it could still be a cool pole
