The Italian broadcasters (whose video feed we're seeing on WCSN, although Dwight Stones is doing the commentary) aren't showing much mPV. We saw Stevenson barely miss and Gibilisco bail out on their first attempts at 5.52, then shortly thereafter saw Gibilisco make it easily on his second attempt. Also the Golden Gala website keeps changing its name to "Cannot find server", so "live" updates are probably going to be few and far between. On the other hand, I don't really know if there's anybody looking for live info here today anyway.

The last time I could get the results page, here's what it said:
[code]Rank Athlete Nat 5.42 5.52 5.62 5.72 Result
1 BURGESS, Paul AUS - - o 5.62
2 JENG, Alhaji SWE - xo o 5.62

Another Gibilisco miss at 5.72, then Stevenson clears it. You sure can't tell there are another ten guys competing based on the video.

Another near miss (insufficient penetration) puts Gibilisco out.

Stevenson's on again. Third miss, but I didn't catch the height (Stones gave it in Imperial while I was typing, and I couldn't switch the mental gears quick enough).

Maybe we'll get a little more. 2:49ish into the broadcast we got the tape of Walker's last miss, then a good clearance by Hooker. Actually, looking closer at the scores I posted a few minutes back ... Hooker wasn't out yet. Doh!

Edit: Okay, Hooker & Burgess then passed to 5.97 and both had three misses there. So the order and result are as shown above, except for six more 'x'es off to the right.

And at 2:56 into the webcast we see Burgess' last clearance.

8 CHIARAVIGLIO, Germán o o xxx 5.52 NR

Dunno why this is listed as an NR when he jumped 5.70 a few weeks ago...and he's still 19...
