Pyrek clears 4.75 on her first. She is thrilled!

Isinbayeva can be seen in the background in her UCS Pole Vault cheer shorts, she refuses to watch.

Pyrek's 4.70 was made on her second.

Isinbayeva had one miss at 4.70 and passed to 4.75. One miss at 4.75 and passed to the next height.

I can't tell what it is... 4.70something... probably 77 or 78 because it said World Leader.

She makes it!

Pyrek is sitting near the back of the runway and peeks up nervously to watch the jump.

YESSSS! Isi over on her 3rd attempt! Didn't catch the height though! Did she pass to 4.80?

Women's Pole Vault 21:36 Feofanova fails at 4.79 and there's just Isinbayeva and Pyrek left.

Isinbayeva comes down on whatever height she just attempted. It wasn't like she had a lot of height in front of the bar either.

Isi misses at 4.84 (??? hard to see the numbers).

Came down on the bar with her knees. Is this a standards placement issue?

Edit: Eurosport says 4.90, but I'm not sure I believe 'em.

Women's Pole Vault 21:46 Isinbayeva takes the pole vault event. She tries 4.90 now...

Yeah I don't believe them either about the height. They have been screwing stuff up all day.

2nd miss at 4.90.

Now I've gotta study lip reading in Russian.

OK Isi passed 4.84 and is jumping at 4.90.

She crashes down on the bar on her second attempt.

She looks like maybe if the standards were a little closer she might snake over the bar, but she really does not seem to be putting much height on it.

I am curious to know how the flex numbers on the poles she is on right now compare to last year.
