Where's Gus?

Does anyone know if and when "The Pole Vault World According to Gus" will start listing results from 2006? The link on the PVP home page goes to a page with 2005 results through 5/30/2005.

I've tried to email him a few times but haven't heard back. The Dude gets busy this time of year. Hope to see him in Boston for National Masters. Bubba

He is head coaching this year and a lot busier than before. He's also pretty burned out from 10 years of insane amounts of time in front of the computer doing the newsletter.

I'm really hoping he comes back because I am trying to do part of what he did and I'm struggling.

I have faith that eather Gus will come back or becca will stop dragging her feet and maybe devote some of her time to the pole vault community!!

He always takes a break in the summer. He's never missed indoors before.

We're working on some things to possibly make Gus's life a little easier and allow him to do the newsletter and other stuff without putting alot of time into it. If I could just get alittle more time to work on it, maybe we can get it out the door before the friggin season is over...... :confused:

I'm happy to say that I spent all day Saturday with Gus as he helped out with the Masters Nationals. He's doing great and thinks Becca's doing great - as we all do. He is swamped with team, club and work but keeps up with the goings on the best he can. Spare time seems very sparse so I'm not holding my breath for him to get real active on website stuff any time soon. As he says, "Becca's doing a great job and has all of the info I would post up much more quickly than I could". He carried us all for 10 years and for that I'm very thankful.

On a personal note, I consider Gus one of my best friends and he doesn't get around to returning my email very often. His excuse, "what can I say, I'm just not very social and I've got a ton of stuff going on". Great guy that Gus!! Fantastic seeing and spending time with him again. Bubba
