I keep hearing about these really good pole vaulters from granite bay HS. Is it just the coach there or wut? How are these guys getting so good?

Dunno if she'll be the best but the Pride of Buda will do it with the most style.

I would say natural talent, coaching, and being some of the most hard working, determined people that I have ever met. :yes:

yeah that scott roth dude is crazy fast

theres also that sophomore in Arkansas that cleared 17' with a 14'3'' grip.

Spencer McCorkel is the one from Bryant Arkansas with the PR of 17' last year.

No - there have been some small practice meets in Ft. Worth but everyone's been too busy to make the 4 hour drive there. Our first meet will be on January 7th, the TexasPoleVault Roundup at the Elite Vaulter's Sports Complex, and then the Carl Lewis Inv. at U. of Houston, then Reno. I'm scaling back a bit on the indoor season and keeping everyone at 12 steps to avoid peaking early like we did last season.
