Any differences in poles?
I just found out today that we have a 13' 145 skypole which is perfect for transitioning between the 13' 135 and 13' 150 ones i used last season and at camp and the 12' 150 my coach just ordered me. I've only vaulted on one pole that wasn't a spirit, and that was a ms stick for a few meets when i first started. My question is there a lot of difference in spirits and skypoles?

speaking of which, im buying a pole soon, and need to decide between UCS Spirit and Pacer Fx. I used a ucs all last year, and a pacer over the summer, liked them both. The pacer is a little bit cheaper because i can get a discount at a place i order it, but im not sure which to go with. Same size pole, any thoughts?
also, sorry for intruding on your topic, i should have started my own lol
thanks

Two companies make all their 13' and up in length in a special design
The others are just a rod of fiberglass AND THE SAME OLD DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY. (SOME BRANDS have very little sail piece design in smaller 13' poles)
You will feel the difference when you use them over other brands, the feeling is immediate when using the pole properly.
Therefore, study how they are made and what care and confidence is available from each brand before buying. Sometimes price reflects the faith a manufacturer has in their product!!!
So a cheap pole is exactly that a cheap pole
