Good job by the officials in selecting heights that would give Isinbayeva a chance for another world record at 5.03 and Rogowska a chance for a national record at 4.83. It didn't work for Isinbayeva, but moves Rogowska into a time with Dragila for third-best all-time.
Maybe not such a good job by the officials, if the starting order given on the website was correct and it might be implied that the order (except for Elisdottir) was assigned in ascending order of seasonal bests, instead of by draw. That might heighten interest of fans, but wouldn't be fair and shouldn't be done. Hopefully, either the reported order was incorrect or represented a very unlikely mathematical chance.

I never mentioned it to anyone, but I'm in India right now visiting my father in law, but that is another story for another thread.....anyway
I had the pleasure of seeing Isinbayeva's jumps at 4.93m and 5.03m on an Indian sport higlight show today. She didn't look nearly as good as she did at the world championships. She still had good clearance at 4.93m and had a decent attempt at 5.03m, but she looked a little slow in her swing and never quite timed up her jump. She seemed to be a little away from the pole coming off the top and not aligned with like some of her previous jumps i've seen.
Oh well, guess you can't be spot on every day. Still some good jumping. PLus, the highlight coverage they had in the 3 minutes that I saw was better than any 2 hour american coverage I have seen.
