pole 'weight band'
This has been discussed before, but does anyone for sure know wat is legal for pole in Illinois. If a pole has the etchings on the top is it ok or must it have the band with the weight and be certified (which means going to a pole company? Earlier this year I askd and got some good advice but the question to whether or not poles are legal in IL without the band was fuzzy...Any help?
Fight the good fight: It's nice to be great but it's far greater to be nice.

I believe the national high school federation says poles without manufacturers bands are illegal. All states that I know of follow the national rules, occasionally adding their own rules on top.
Most meets are probably not that strict about enforcing it. The federations seems to think poles phase out of usage a lot faster than they actually do.
