I am a senior this year, and let me tell you it realy helps to be well rounded. I don't have all tha great of a PR, only 15'4", but I'm pretty good at other stuff. If you're still a Jr. or younger, I suggest getting involved with your student council and community service organizations. Keep grades up and don't slack off. I'm sure if you are a 17' + guy or a 12-13+ ft girl, then athletics will become a major factor. Most of the colleges I have talked to always ask me what my grades are first before they ask me about my PRs and such.
