We just moved our p/v mats inside after being outside for 6 months. We used mothballs with NO sign of rodents at all. I bet the dryer sheets will work also. The only thing I don't like about these sheets is that they are extremely flamable. Next time you want to start a fire outside just light up one of these sheets. This is the reason why my wife quit using these things in our clothes dryer. A funny thing happen last winter as a "Barn cat" came around our mats and when we tried to "shoo it" away it tried 4 or 5 times to dive under our mats. It couldn't get past the smell of these mothballs and finaly did an "end around" and slipped past us and out the barn it went.

Make sure if you are building your garage to make it as low to the ground as possible. We had one kids good get under the door, was a great place for Jr High kids to smoke untill they burned up the entire pit and garage. Lucky they got out alive.

Wow, You think a person can plan for everything and then some kid will prove your plans wrong. We have a plant in the neighboring town that I work for that diecasts magnesium. The waste off the production machines is very explosive and flamable (magnesium plus water based coolant will produce hydrogen gas). Our company built a large building as a storage facility for these materials. This plant is totaly smoke free. Management almost had a "cow" when they found ashtrays that people had been using in this building as a smoking area !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This building could have gone off just like the Hindenburg.
