New old cata pole

Unread postby tim hutzley » Fri May 07, 2004 10:22 pm

My coach just picked up an old green catapole. He got it from the coach at sandiago universitys brother. It doesent even seem like its ever been used. It was in a cardboard toob that had tar or something all over it for extra protection. Its a cool lookin pole too. Didnt you work with cata pole Bruce C? Is the flex on cata poles inches or centameters? it says like 9.5 but it feels too flexable to be 9.5 centamerters.

I just wanted to talk about it.

green is S glass Black is E glass 9.5 X 2.54=24.13 in metric
If brand new will work well what is the length?
Flex might be a bit stiffer than todays flex but very close.

IF 12 should be a 110
If 13 should be a 125
IF 14 should be a 135
If 156 should be a 145
if 166 should be a 155

Im gonna try jumping with it tommarow. Is there any difference in performance between S glass and whatever type of glass new poles are made of?

Is it a 550+ or a 580+? The 580+'s were really good poles.

My vote would be to not even tape the pole and offer it up for someone's museum or collection. For a pole like that they might even buy you the pole of your choice.

they were working, they were either disabled, or the site he was hosting from ran out of bandwith?
