I got my reults from dyestat, so if he the 4th guy didnt get his 15 in a big meet then it doesnt count but if he did, then I guess dyestat just didnt record his meet results.PVCoach wrote:Pretty good numbers, but SC had 4 over 15'. I know because they have all jumped with our www.CarolinaExtreme.com track club in the past. How does that change your numbers?
Is it SC #1 and AZ #2 in 15 footers?
If so that makes us #1 in 15' and 16' by participants.
Just fly high, and KISS THE SKY!!!
I wouldn't bet on Dyestat. They're usually pretty acurate but I've seen them leave a lot of male and female vaulters out.
Every one of our 15 footers did it multiple times in big and small meets. Mitch Greeley 4 or 5 times (15' 6" PR), Trey Bell (15' 8" PR) jumped 15' like clockwork, Mark Johnson (16' 4" PR) I only saw him clear under 15' twice in the last two years. Chase Shealy (16' 8" PR) cleared a total of about twenty bars over 16' this year...
...but I could be wrong since Dyestat says we have only 3 over 15'. LOL

The difference may be in how you view the numbers. If someone jumps 16' then include them in 15' total and 16' total. That's why I was saying before if you take out Tyson Biars it changes WA #'s dramatically, because he was a 15', 16' and 17' vaulter. If you take him back just a few inches under 17' then WA and SC are identical in your other comparison.
Just food for thought. Like the old saying goes... "Figures lie and lyers figure." We can make the numbers say anything we want.

I worked for Dyestat last year... they do leave out marks... but not on purpose! You guys gotta send stuff in to them that you know about
Mr. Dye relies a lot on results and marks people send in. If someone does something in a big meet he'll probably get it... but if he never sees the results for the meet he's not gonna know about it.

WOW! Check out the top vaulters to track participants ratio

not just for me, i'm betting steven will pop out something big, he always manages to have at least one meet where he jumps really high (not that he doesnt do it more often, he just gets hurt....at least tht was the case last season..that and his focus kinda went away)

New updated numbers on our survey of top HS vault states. We've got the numbers on Oregon. Oregon deserves to be mentioned. It's a great vault state.
