I have 3-4 yellow fiberglass Cata Poles from the mid-80s. They have been stored outdoors under a deck inside PVC pipes. Temperatures have ranged from 0 to 100 F.
I haven't used them in 25 years. I assume they're not safe for a vaulter to bend. Is that right? Any suggestions on what I could do with them? Perhaps some young vaulters could use them safely without bending them.
Thanks,
David

Re: How Safe are Old Poles?
Kids could use them for sand vaulting or pole runs. If there are any circus/acrobatic groups in your area you might try contacting them, they sometimes do stunts with poles.
Old poles are generally safe, but having been stored outside for so long is pretty sketchy.
