I lost my mother after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer earlier this year and after a lot of thought I'd like to get a pair of purple(Pancreatic Cancer color) PV II's for meets to help raise awareness about the disease. I contacted Nike's customer support and they basically just said they didn't offer PV II's in purple. I was wondering if anyone has heard of companies doing custom orders of this kind or if anyone knows who to get into contact with regarding this kind of stuff.
Thanks,
Adam

Nobody makes custom jump spikes, but I've seen custom distance spikes and you could vault in those. Otherwise you could customize the shoes yourself using dyes/sharpies/puff paint, etc.

Thanks Becca, it looks like I will prolly have to dye a pair of the white PV IIs. Do you think dye would stick to the fabric the spikes are made of?

I'm not sure, I don't have a white pair... but I think most of it is a shiny material? So probably not... you'll have to get a pair and try for yourself. Maybe nail polish would stick to the shiny parts?

**perform at your own risk**
If the surface is smooth and non-porous, you'll need to prep it first with some very very light sandpaper, so the paint/polish will adhere and not just wipe off. You'll also want to use a paint that won't crack or chip, especially since the material of the spike will move around a bit when you run. A lot of people use paint pens, krylon fusion spray paint (it does chip, unfortunately).
check out the spike forum at tracktalk.net. there's a customize/dye your spikes thread on there where i'm sure somebody could assist you.

Looking at my daughter's two pairs of PVIIs, I don't see why they couldn't be dyed. One pair is white/red, and the other is silver/green. The silver HAD to come from somewhere, most likely dye, I would think.
