you still need to take off a lot farther out the pole is very bent while you on the ground. I think if you focused on taking off out and jumping up at take off it would help you swing alot better. As far as the levered out bottom arm, do lots of 3 lefts jumps and exaggerate the jump at the takeoff and collapse your arm when you do 3 left, "do the simple things extraordinarily well" as Alan Launder would say!

also be patient... you are trying to flail off and go over the bar while your pole is still bent. Keep working up the pole and don't worry about turning in for the cross bar so early. When you come off the pole while it is still bent its just going to throw you wildly in all kinds of directions

Re: New to the board, please review!
1) That Pole is way too small for you... mainly too soft
2) Don't 'row' with your hands, try and keep them over or behind your body at all times so that you can swing up on top of the pole and not get stuck behind it. Right now your hands 'mainly left' are really getting in front of you and you are really blocking out.
Once you get on about 10-lb stiffer pole and up your grip a few inches you are going to scare yourself with how high you will be jumping.. right now when you sit over 12' the pole is still bent, just imagine what is going to happen when you get upside down and let it unbend!

Haha thanks! Yeah blocking out has been a problem of mine for a while, but I appreciate the help!
