best pole for beginners? best pole brand for new benders!

Unread postby katiesuisse » Sat Apr 10, 2010 8:04 pm

I am female, sophomore, and I have peaked with a stiff pole. I won't go any higher with what I am at. I am 110 pounds, 5'3, I am on a UCS 120, 12ft.
What pole brand is easiest to bend, and I know i need a 110 but what height, and where should I get it?
thanks (:

-- i am looking at a PACER MYSTIC, 115 12'6ft?
does anyone know anything about this brand?

My suggestion would be to keep doing what you're already doing on that 120. If you've maxed out your stiff pole height, then you're probably capable of holding high enough to bend the pole that you have. Save your money or your school's money and don't worry about which brand of pole is easier to bend. All of them are easy if the pole is soft enough. What is you're PR so far stiff poling?

This post probably needs to be in the equipment forum.

Longer poles are harder to bend. Check out this chart that helps explain it:

So what you need is a shorter pole. I'd recommend an 11'120 and 11'6 120 Mystic.
