okay this is a really poor sketch but would something like this work if the pole where the rings/rope hang are 18' above ground and the space between them is at least 6 ft apart? The rope is in the middle of the rings and can be thrown over the high/low bars to get it out of the way when using the rings.

oh here's another Q. I know where to get rope and steel pipe and concrete etc but anyone have any suggestions on what to use as the rings?

There's quite a few professionally made rings on the market ... much better than anything hand built. You just have to attach them to your supports.
