My schools old black pole
Hi im nick im new to this sight and have been jumping for a year now. i own a 14' 6" 165 UCS pole. I can not bend this pole for some reason so i found an older pole in our shed that has a piece of tape at the top that says the pole is a 14' 165 pole. i measured the pole and it is 14'. my problem is that it is not certified and does not have a label. it also does not have any makers labels on it. I live in michigan and i was wondering if there is any place where i can get this pole certified and legal to jump on in a meet?

i dont believe so but there is a spot towards the bottom of the pole that looks as if there was some type of yellow sticker mabey the maker of the poles sticker but it seems to have been pulled off or has fallen off due to old age. do you know where i could get it certified or even looked at? i live near niles Michigan

You won't be able to get it certified anywhere if it does not have a manufacturer's label or engravings on it. Your best bet is to use it for pole runs. I would not trust a handwritten number on a piece of tape as to the size of the pole!!
