Well I got to go to an indoor track meet this year, which is quite unusual from my part of the country. I'm a senior in high school and this meet was after about 7 practices. This is me clearing 14, I'm holding around 14'7" on a 15' pole. This run was only a 5 step because i don't have any poles that i can use, so i had to shorten my run to make sure i wasn't blowing through the pole. Tear me apart, let me know what i should work on.

If you notice your take off, I believe you'll see you are under a bit. The pole is starting to bend before you get airborne. Do some research on the free take off and you'll get a better understanding what I am referring to. While you're doing that take note about views on the trail leg whip. You could do more with that also to put more energy into the "system". Other than that, you are very strong and that's what is getting you over 14 feet. Work on your run posture, your "free" take off and your trail leg whip and you'll be going much higher. Later..............Mike

One big thing that I noticed was that you turn too late. If you look at the video you are sideways by the time your legs reach the crossbar. You also tend to flag off the pole a bit when you start to extend out. If you could work on turning earlier and staying with the pole, rather than letting your legs fall away you could add a foot to that jump. Good job tho.
Anything not worth doing is worth not doing well. Think about it.

That late turn avarice is talking about is a direct result of your 3rd phase. You get into the most curious positions from 7-8 seconds. Your taking off FEET by bending that trail leg so early and not forcing your shoulders down. And in addition, what souleman said...
Fairly good jump though.
