Looks like a hammer strength "Jammer" machine often used by football linemen. Pretty cool--never thought of that.

Looks to me like it's a back and knee injury just waiting to happen. I suppose though for the young whippersnappers it would be ok. Later..Mike

My thoughts exactly! The weighted bar at the hips should be replaced by a coil spring loaded rope. Something that would put a slight pressure on the hips (equivalent or at least closer to the inertial force happening during an actual vault).

you cant really drive up when you do that, he kindof throws his momentum down instead of up at an angle, i used to do that, but i pulled a "Corey shank" and went backwards down the runway... no offense corey :)
