Some people wish they were as talented as Trey
Upon further review.....we think that we'll switch the time since you were so close to the DECA CR anyway, we could fudge the numbers a little. Who's kicking out results up there, former Enron and Healthsould execs?? Maybe Trey should toss them a high five at the local austin steakhouse as they all celebrate together. Its ashamed that a great performance shall forever be in doubt by knowledgable deca folks. I mean come on..........switching the final results to go from one point shy to one point over.........how cliche. But hey.........maybe they can make a t-shirt that says: "I broke the collegiate record, i all I got was this lowsy t-shirt"
{{FROM TRACKSHARK:
Entering the final event, the 1500 meters, with 7,940 points, Hardee needed 524 points to set the new collegiate decathlon record. He placed ninth at 5:06.73 for 522 points, initially leaving him one point shy of the collegiate record. However, a photo review of day one's 00-meter dash indicated Hardee completed the event in 10.35, rather than 10.36, thus, adding three points to Hardee's total, giving him the NCAA decathlon record. He also set the collegiate record in the heptathlon in January at the New Mexico Multi-Events Meet.

I guess records were made to be broken. Looks like your right, he probably will score way beyond that. I have heard that "he is the next great American decathlete" from legitimate sources. Looks to be true. However, I would rather see a record such as that be broken in a far more clear cut way. Changing times from the PREVIOUS DAY seems a little suspect. Wouldn't want that to be the way it is left. So on that note I hope he shatters it at NCAAs. Otherwise, Pappas will forever talk s*** about the issue.

If you really think you broke the collegiate record your cheating nobody but yourself. Its a shame such a great performance has to be forever tainted by this...... You can PM me make it out to " world record holder" it means as much as your "collegiate record holder".... but this is all in vain.... its your first Dec of the year... you mean to tell me your not going to improve the rest of the year, I was there today and I believe you will so this is all a null point........... Im just dissapointed in the way the Texas Officials conducted themselves I expected more from a national championship crew...

sorry, but...
who are you guys???
i don't understand why people seem to think that i asked for this to happen. talk about a let down... minutes after i collapsed at the line after the 1500, i learn that i fell a point short. i sat there and said, "well, i did what i wanted to do today.... get my auto qualifier"
was anyone at the meet?? did anyone look at the finish line photos on this message board?? come on!!! i didn't ask for any of this!! and if all you guys can do is sit around and complain and put words into my mouth about complacency and about how my scores went under review, then i just hope that you have a blessed day and please contact ME if you have anything to say about the matter because this post really doesn't warrant any kind of response other than... "wow, what a tool." so save yourself.
cheating myself (haha),

Look at the Rules
What does the NCAA Rule book say the Meet Referee's job is!!! point e. "Review all final meet results" - if there is any question - that is who it should be addressed to - not the guy sucking air after the 1500 just kicked the snot out of him. It was not his call.
Plant like crap sometimes ok most times

You don't need to worry about who they are and what they say. They were not the one's who busted their a** on the track & field the past two days.
You did.
All that you can control is yourself so don't let anyone try to bring you down now that you are at the top.

Trey doesn't need to answer to any of you. All he did was go out there and bust his balls and have the meet of his life. He gave 100% in every event, on a busted up ankle no less, and the scores fell where they fell. It's not like Trey asked to have his events reviewed.
