Help with Spikes

Unread postby pvwoody » Sun Mar 05, 2006 12:02 pm

I just bought my first pair of pv spikes. They came with two sets of spikes (regular and extended thread) and a set of round disks. I assume the disks are for synthetic surfaces, and you use the extended thread spikes with the disks?

Also, there are two blanks (threaded plug with no spike extension). What are these for?

Suppose you wanted to not have a spike at one location on each of your shoes. You would remove the spike and screw in these instead. They would then protect the threads so that if you wanted to screw a spike in there in the future, the threads would be functional and the hole would be free of debris.
