Hey,
Wouldn't it be pretty cool to have a live band playing during the Elite PV session in the back of the the stage between the two runways?
It would be a kind of PV session / concert.
Of course, I think there would have to be like two or three bands that would have to play after one another to fill in the time the competition takes that friday night.
Wondered if anyone thought about that and/or comments about it.

Kids, Kids, Kids! "Live" and "DJ" do not go together. DJ is short for a "disk jockey" He or she plays records or recordings of the live people that recorded the music. It doesn't take a whole lot of musical talent to cue up a recording and push a button. Sheesh! Next you're gonna tell me that karaoke is good music. The suggestion was for a LIVE band. That means 4 to 5 (or more) honest to goodness live people who are actually performing the music that you are hearing as they perform it. I got it! If it's ok to have a DJ, then I'll bring my videos of Bubka and play those when it's my turn to jump. What he clears on the video, I get credit for in the competition. How 'Bout that? Works for me! Do you get where I'm going here? Support local musicians performing music, whether it's at a dance club with live music, bar with live music, country joint or hip hop joint. As one who has been playing in a band for over 40 years, I still do it cause the people who come to listen to it and dance to it want it "live", not Memorex. (Most of you are not old enough to remember that ad campaign for Memorex audio tape). And I enjoy displaying my talent (as limited as it may be) to people who appreciate it.Think about it..........Later.......Mike

I beg to differ. A DJ can be at the summit mixing songs together, playing requests, and adding his/her own flare to the songs. Just because it's recorded music doesn't mean the DJ is not live.

Until you've tried synchronizing beats or even fading songs together you can't say it takes no musical talent. DJing requires a great knowledge of music theory and as much skill and practice as many instruments.
I'd like to see a live band as well, but a live DJ is still entertaining, especially if they know what they're doing.
