Lake Hamilton Invitational
Pearcy, AR
Track fans attending the meet at Lake Hamilton High School got to witness the greatest showdown in Arkansas high school history Friday night with a battle between Lake Hamilton's Sam Ewing and Mt. Ida's Andrew Irwin. Once both entered the competition, they made everything on their first attempts. The progressions were 15'00", 16'00", 16'06.5", 17'00.25", 17'04".
This was the first time that anyone had seen two high school vaulters jump this high in the same meet in Arkansas. Also the first time we've ever had two vaulters jump this high in the same year. Good stuff!
