I heard somewhere that if you cleared the height but the pole knocks the bar over, it is a clear and NOT a miss. Is that true?
Also, if two people got the same number of misses, does the 1st place go to the person that started at a later height?
Does someone have a link to the current pole vaulting rules?

No!!! That has nothing to do with it. Read this thread: http://polevaultpower.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14335
What height you come in at does not matter. All that matters is misses at the final height and total misses.
