Unread postby uconnvaulta » Thu Feb 22, 2007 3:38 pm

My coach is trying to find the casing to put inside of a UCS pole bag,

does anyone know where we could look to get the piping, the rigid black tubing, and how big could we get it to fit the bag like how wide

Home Depot & Lowe's sometimes carry the corrugated pipe with the smooth interior lining...make sure you don't get the plain corrugated pipe, it'll beat up your poles. If a home supply store doesn't have it, call plumbing supply stores in the phone book, sooner or later you'll hit one that has it.

Tractor Supply. 100' for around $40. 4" 6" or 8" depending on which store you go to. Then you can cut it for whatever length you need. Plus--they have end snap caps which are really nice for about $2 each.

Probably 6 or 8 inch diameter. Depending on your bag. most likely 6

I had trouble finding the smooth inner wall pipe a while back. ADS is one of the manufacturers of this pipe ( www.ads-pipe.com/en/product.asp?productID=112 ). Call Sales/Customer Service to find the dealer location nearest you.

N-12 is the smooth inner wall (plain end). 6" will fit inside most pole bags, I have seen a few 8" bags. I paid $40 for a 20 foot section and cut it to fit the bag. I used the split end caps, attached one end on with silicone caulk (do not use glue, it my eat through the pipe). The other end you just pop on and off. The best end caps are the ones that slide on and off and do not have a raised lip, but they are hard to find.
