Whitehorse Pole Vault Club

The Whitehorse Pole Vault Club was established in 1993. It aims to foster pole-vaulting in Victoria and Australia , from an introductory to the elite level. To do this it provides:

Coaching and regular training,
Pole vaulting facilities, and
Pole vaulting poles
Since its establishment the club has worked toward these objectives with some success. The Club has about ten active pole-vaulters and a number of coaches. The Club provides members with pole-vaulting facilities and a range of poles that are suitable for training and competition for athletes of all abilities. Training takes place on a regular basis for twelve months of the year, incorporating sessions of pole vaulting, running, weights and gymnastics.

Not quite the full story. The club was set up by Mark Stewart -a world class but amateur coach - and is where Emma George WR 4.60, and Steve Hooker became great vaulters.
Its what you learn after you know it all that counts. John Wooden
