Using a partially shattered pole

Unread postby Ming3r » Mon Apr 17, 2006 9:45 pm

Heres one that should be interesting - one of the poles we've got, a Skypole (I think) 150, is somewhat shattered at the top, so I can't use it at meets, but I still use it for practice (4 steps/inverts).

Unfortunately, its the lightest and most flexable of our 150s...

So not exactly sure why I posted this, aside from m y remorse that I can't use it in a meet :P

I highly doubt they would send a new weight label in the mail. If you took the pole to Gill Athletics in Champaign, IL, they could probably help you out.

First off it's a UCS/Spirit, and pretty frek'n old. Secondly it's not totally shattered, but the cracks we can see inside tohe pole go far enough down into the pole that we don't know where thy end, so cutting it is out of the question. We have stopped using it and plan on geting rid of the thing so don't worry that we're trying to kill vaulters here.
