I weigh around 193 pounds (i know that heavy for a pole vaulter) and since my school is low on funds I am as or right now forced to use a 165 pound pole (biggest we have). I bend it way too much even choked down. So I am looking for a pole to get to best fit me. I am not sure mostly about the length, but also of the weight of the pole I should get. Carbon fiber or fiber glass? Do they make a noticeable difference? I am a third year vaulter but I can get better with my technique because I am way to heavy for my pole. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
