Which Pole?

Unread postby PoleVaultGovs » Mon Apr 18, 2011 9:59 am

I am currently looking at buying a 13' 7" 160 UCS spirit pole or a 13'7" 160 Mystic Weave. it would be greatly appreciated if i could get some inputs on which pole u may think is better and why. i weigh 130lbs and am currently blowing through a 13'7" 155 UCS spirit. My top end is not the greatest. i have always been a ucs spirit fan but would like to know if a carbon pole would benefit me better then a ucs spirit.

No, you don't need a carbon pole yet. It will not help you vault higher.

you answer it yourself -- you like them -- they are working for you since on a 13'7 you can only hold a little over 13 and are vaulting higher than than (especially when you take out the 20cm for box depth) - Spirit will be slightly less costly than carbon pole -- while you might get a Big Stick or Rocket for slightly less -- the ease of going from a 155 to 160 in the same design probably offsets that --
Plant like crap sometimes ok most times

thanks for the info guys. I just bought a 14'1 150 UCS spirit and a 14'1 155 UCS spirit. Planning on hitting 14'4 with these poles
