I'm a 5'1" 98 lbs female vaulter, and I've just started my second year vaulting. I love the sport, but I can't get higher than 7 feet. The poles my school has are heavy and long, the shortest and lightest being a 13'120 lbs Pacer with a lot of wear and tear on it. My father has offered to buy the school a lighter, shorter pole, but isn't sure which brand to get. I'm unsure of the brands and which ones are generally thought to be "top of the line" or "bottom of the barrel". Any help there would be appreciated. Also, I would like to know what height and weight rating I should be using. I can't bend the 120 Pacer I mentioned before, and my grip is about 3/8ths from the poles top. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Need help selecting a pole!
I would start with an 11' 110 pound pole if your dad is buying one for you. Brand is not super important... I find in the short girls poles that the Spirit poles are stiffer and the weight label (maximum grip) is a lot lower than other brands, so probably a Mystic or Altius would be good.
When I first started girls pole vault was new and my HS also only had long poles. My parents also ended up buying me my first pole.
