How old is this pole?

Unread postby theflyingkorean » Sat Feb 28, 2004 2:24 am

Today while I was going through our schools train cart of stuff, i came accross a Blue Skypole. It doesn't have any other markings carved into it nor a flex number or anything? It's 15' and blue and only a few nicks, any ideas when this could have been made?

I had either a 14'6 or 14'9/140 blue skypole in 9th grade (1987) and it was old as hell then. I think they were made in the late 70s to around 84 or so. Good poles though.

Last darkblue Skypole made was in 1982-83 if the label is a red label it was made by Paul Richards who is now owner of Altius poles.
All the Skypoles made by Gill have GILL on the label.
If it has a banana label on it it was made in Costa Mesa California by an investor group headed by Dan Heidorn The brown ones were made by the skypole group formerly Browning Arms
