I've already received some help with directions on building a raised runway, but no "words" or suggestions for how to install the box. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Installing a plant box on a raised runway
First make sure you build your runway at least 8" high (2" x 6" + .75" plywood may not make it). Build the last section (box section) the same as the others. Place the box upside down where you want to position it on the runway. Trace an outline on the runway plywood around the box edge. Measure the lip on the box and re-mark the outline on the runway (inside of the original marks). Using a circular saw to cut a hole in the plywood along the inner mark. You should now be able to drop the box in the hole. Using some temporary screws, secure the box to the runway (just use the screw heads on the lip so you don't punch any holes into the box itself (unless it already has mounting holes). Now flip the whole runway section upside down and block the heck out of the back and side of the box. You can do this by adding wood all around the back and sides of the box. Screw and glue all the blocking together and to the sides of the runway and to the plywood top. This will provide a very sturdy substructure for the box itself. I would also glue the box to the blocking to secure it. You can use construction adhesive found at your local hardware store. As always, check the box instructions first. Some models have unique mounting hardware.
