Sunglasses?
I'm new to polevaulting, but I'm curious as to how sunglasses help when pole vaulting. I know some who vault with sunglasses at indoor and outdoor meets, at outdoor meets, and some who don't wear sunglasses. Anyone want to give their opinion on sunglasses when vaulting?

Here's a discussion we had earlier on the legality of sunglasses. I don't think it is quite the information you are looking for, but an interesting read: http://www.polevaultpower.com/forum/vie ... php?t=6244

I hope they will be polycarbonate or the equivalent.

I'm not sure if anyone else who wears contacts has the problem, but occasionally while running down ANY runway, my eyes water alot.
There have been a few occasions when I wished I had them on to help out my eyes.
Regardless, half-jackets are the ticket.
