I wore a helmet for the first time last year. When I jumped 5.50 last year in Reno, I was wearing a helmet, don't wear it anymore though. It was out of respect of the injured vaulters from the previous year.

thats actually prolly a good thing for people to realize is that its not something that takes practice in wearing. i know a bunch of people that started and never had to make any adjustments

but its still a matter of preference
