Spirit of Carbon

Unread postby Sebes » Wed Mar 14, 2007 1:36 pm

I think that both poles are great. I like Spirit because they seem more old school...they're pure and simple. I think they've got a cool thing going on with the all white look with pink sticker. Carbon Pacers FX's have a completely different theme going on, but are bad-ass in their own right. It seems like they're really pushing the envolope incorporating the latest technologies in the manufacturing process. I really like how they're lighter in weight...it definitely makes a difference if you're intimidated by really big poles. I didn't experience that much of a difference between the unbending speed. Everybody says on a Carbon you have a smaller window to fit in your swing and row...but I really didn't notice that. Either way, we've got two solid choices.

agreed, both are good poles. Personally, I have jumped on everything at one point in time. (altius, essx, spirit, pacer, skypoles, catapoles) And basically, IMO a pole is a pole, and what you do with it is all that matters. When it all gets down to it, whatever you are comfortable jumping on, jump on it.

poles

Its all personal preference really. I was on a 15' 165 carbon not getting anything out of it and moved up to a 15' 170 usc and skyed on it. It all depends on your swing and how quick you get inverted. I recently purchased a 16' 19.0 and a 16' 20.0 which are both UCS but unfortunatly during shipping both poles were run over by a forklift so i have to wait another week or two to get them. Very unfortunate..

obtain the glory

There is a dealer that imports them, so I have seen a few, but it really doesn't make sense for most Americans since we have 4 manufacturers on US soil that can get us what we need.
