New pole brand from South Africa

I'm actually asking because I was talking to a vaulter from Iraq and I thought the shipping might be cheaper from SA to Iraq than from the US. He paid $1500US to ship one 15' pole from the US.

Maybe he should hop on a flight to a city with a dealer with the poles in stock and fly back with them so he only has to pay the luggage fee.

I'll suggest that next time I talk to him, but I am going to guess that there are still import fees, and that it's not so easy for an Iraqi to just hop on a flight to the US (probably doable, but a big PITA) and to find big enough planes to take the poles back. Might be easier to try Europe.
