Holy cow folks!

Slow down a bit.

Here is the skinny on the poles. My son wrestled last year as an 8th grader in the 105lb weight class, so we know he was on small poles when he started. He soon became interested in vaulting because the weight training and running helped increase his speed and streangth.

Yes, he has grown in the past number of months. 4inches taller and weighs in right now at 130lbs. Anyone with a teanager can relate

We all know beginners can show quantum leaps in progress. We just noticed a considerable difference in the poles and thought it would be interesting to post the opinion. The larger jump in pole size is partially due to my limit on his hand grip. I'm holding the grip down to work on technique.

I love to shoot practice video, so we noticed the poles bends in editing. I still have video...8MM film from when I vaulted in the late 70's. I am archiving it in an album for my son to see his progression. It is also a great practice tool for my old eyes.

Sorry for the confusion folks, I guess the proof will be in the vaulting season. We are very happy with our current product and will continue to use it.

I do the same thing with video, and sometimes you get some really funny stuff and sometimes the kids surprise you.

Either way its a great record to train from, or just show an accomplishment.

Congrats to your son, sounds like he's using a pretty smart coach too!

PV Junkie is a ranking achieved when you have a certain number of posts. Decamouse you are close to reaching it. I picked that as one of them wayyyyy back... pretty sure before Bryan even joined the board, and he was an early member. I really have not done much with the rankings since I set them.
