Creative solutions for supplemental padding

Where have you found supplemental padding to cover hard surfaces around your pit?

I have some old mats that used to protect the wall behind the basketball hoops in the gym, and the extra field turf does a great job of covering the mud.

old wrestling matt works good, easy to cut to any size and shape.

Yeah I think wrestling mats are one of the best possible solutions. They are a very dense foam.

Just make sure you disinfect the surface, first. Wrestling has to be one of the all-time most disgusting sports from a communicable disease standpoint.

We use football arm blocking pads. They are 4 inches thick and 2 foot by 2 foot. Plus, they are stored in the shed we keep our poles in.
