At takeoff, you are jumping forward and not jumping up. This causes your hips to get in front of your chest.

your hips are coming through too quickly. I always look at at the point in which the top hand, hips, and heel are a straight line. Ideally, you want this line to be as steep as possible, close to perpendicular to the ground. basically, you want to keep the shoulders in front of the hips as long as possible, by driving the shoulders and hands forward. for example, look at bubka...

at this point his hips are still right under his shoulders. gnarly.

Yeah, your hips are getting sucked right in at takeoff.

So how does one fix the problem where the hips go foward too much?

I think I have this problem as well... and I wanna get better... and not break my back!

What are you doing to improve your takeoff?

Suggested activities would be:
galloping drills
run / run / jump drills
pole runs with full takeoff on the track

Try to achieve a vertical shin angle while doing all of these things.
