question about my takeoff

This may be me, but I feel like if I jumped higher, and less foward, I wouldn't make it into the pit, or bend the pole at all.

Next time add photos of your last 3 steps. You need to look at how you go into the plant.

One of the reason to why your hips are coming forward is because you are blocking. The hips need to drive forward at take off, along with the chest. Dont block, and stay tall at take off

its all about trying different things out and finding a happy medium between forward and up

Yeah, I'm gonna experiment around with a couple aspects of my jump when I practice tomorrow. I appreciate the advice man!

My thoughts exactly... It looks like your take-off is inside, which could have been from slowing down or having a long last step into take-off.
