First, big thanks to Ziggy and his assistant (sorry, forgot his name

Honestly, before practice I was scarred to death but somehow, entire worm up routines and drills I was doing for years (thanks coach Bere) came back quickly and I became relaxed. It is like bicycle riding - you cannot forget that. Also, you simply cannot screw up when your twins are watching you vaulting for the first time.

I was doing some simple drills from 3 and 4 rights (that's not mistake - I am lefty

This is what I can see:
- Pole carrying is too low, plant is late, but I still manage to straight hands before takeoff
- I push pole too much forward during the plant (I was doing the same 20 years ago)
- Takeoff is more or less ok - I am definitely not under
- I start to swing but then my jump ends. Core and upper body are simply not strong enough (yet)
- Jump over the bungee was the worst
Low pole carrying and late plant are my old bad habits. This will be a problem for higher speed and grip. Also I am not fit enough and have 10 extra pounds.
Next time I will do the same drills but with grip 6"-12" higher and also try vaulting from 6 or 8 lefts and raising grip another 6"-12". And maybe, just maybe, I will try few times over bungee.
