Rumoured IAAF announcement?
I just heard from a friend inside the IAAF that they are going to make an announcement in the next few days that one of the world elite vaulters has failed a gender test. I don't want to get him in trouble for leaking anything, so don't ask me who it is until after the announcement is made. He didn't mention who it was, as he didn't know, but just telling me what he had heard. Take it however you want. I guess we'll just have to wait and see......

just got sent this link...looks like he may actually be right......
Original Article (BBC News)
Top athlete fails gender test
A top woman athlete who won a medal at a recent championship has failed a gender test, officials say.
The un-named athlete, who took home a medal in a recent major championship meet, will be stripped of her medals, reports say. Officials at the IAAF declined to reveal the identity of the athlete until an official announcement is made.
Not mandatory
"The athlete in question was subjected to a gender test in Rome and we have received the report which says she failed the test," said Manmohan Singh, chairman of the International Olympic Committee's Medical Commission.
The test is not mandatory, but is carried out if officials want it or a rival team protests, reports say.
KP Mohan, a sports journalist, said athletes were usually examined by a team of doctors, including a gynaecologist, endocrinologist and psychologist, and put through physical and clinical examinations during a gender test.
The test was carried out soon after the Olympic Games after a protest was raised that her performances were "above and beyond what other female athletes at that level can achieve".
Reports say the athlete cleared the gender test at the European track and field championships last year where she easily bested the field.
It is not clear how she failed the test in Rome.
This is is not the first instance of an athlete failing a gender test, as an Indian athlete failed a test previously in 2006.
