Kate Dennison won the womans elite competition of the Oyonnax meeting with the new British record height of 4,49.
A perfect jump.

Dennison sets new figures in pole vault
By Steven Mills, March 17th 2009
European indoor finalist vaults 4.49m to erase Janine Whitlock's record
KATE DENNISON capped off a fine indoor season with an outright British record in a small meet in Oyannax, France. The Sale Harrier, who has improved Janine Whitlock’s indoor record of 4.44m on two occasions already this season, set an outright national record of 4.49m, which bettered Whitlock’s overall British record of 4.47m, which was set in 2005.
Dennison, who was sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Turin, has already made a nine-centimetre improvement this season, which is all the more impression when you consider that Dennison had surgery after the conclusion of last year’s summer campaign.
