Anyway, some impressions:
Hooker looked really good, he had 3 shots at 6.10m after clearing 5.95 and 5.70 on the first attempt if I can recall, full results aren't up yet. The first attempt at 6.10 wasn't so good. But the last two attempts were really close, he got his hips over the bar but just not enough to clear it clean. With his form, I think he would have cleared 6m again today had he attempted it.
Most of the other vaulters really didn't do so well. Lots of jumps where guys had a lot of height but just came down on the bar. A lot of the guys we're used to seeing jump 5.60+ just weren't on their game today. On a different note, Blake Lucas (18yo) jumped a new PR of 5.30 and was VERY close to 5.45 so congrats to him and coach Mark Stewart!
Vicky Parnov led the womens with some good jumps but again, she really in her best form like a lot of the other vaulters.
