Busy pole vaulting weekend in Germany - World junior indoor best for Holzdeppe
Raphael Holzdeppe clears 5.68m in Halle, Germany (Olaf Möldner)
There was further indoor action in Germany last weekend with the unexpected highlight coming in the U23 International between Germany, France, Italy, Spain which took place in Halle, Germany on Saturday 1 March.
Germany's Raphael Holzdeppe, 18, (born 28 Sep 1989) vaulted 5.68m a new world best height for a junior in an indoor competition. This improved by one centimetre the previous junior indoor best of 5.67m which had been held by Russian Leonid Kivalov since the 1 February 2007.

If that ended up being my final PR in college... right now i would be happy very with it. Of course, by the time im jumping it, i'll have my sights set higher hopefully. But GOODNESS i want to find out his sprint workout and start doing it lol.
Whats really scary is that judging by that video he is really far under. I mean average amount of being under for a 16-17 vaulter, but for guys jumping 18'6+ he is really far under. I think this kid could be olympic quality this summer if he fixest that. He might have been pumped up though, i guess you dont know without seeing a lot of his jumps.
