Reporter thinks female vaulters have squidgy bums

I am not sure whose bottom he was looking at, but I definitely did not see any "squidgy" bottoms when I was watching the World Champs!

Bottom line is, even in athletics it's OK to be squidgy

I'VE been spending some time considering the IAAF World Championships in Athletics recently, largely for research purposes, of course.

In particular, I found myself drawn to the women's events and the amazing fact that no female nowadays wears shorts anymore - by which I mean they all seem to be wearing some form of bikini bottom.

One can speculate that this is for improved performance through lack of restrictive clothing, but it's noticeable that few male competitors were decked out in bikini bottoms.

Indeed, some Canadian sprint guy seemed to think that wearing an all-in-one latex suit with hood was going to help. It didn't.

The point is, it was clear from up-close analysis that some of these women had squidgy bottoms; I'm thinking of the women's pole vault in particular.

Now it may be that these bottoms were squidgy with pulsating muscle, but they were squidgy nonetheless. Which is enormously helpful in explaining to so many fretful females that there is nothing wrong with having a squidgy bottom. If it's OK for the world's fittest females, then it's OK for them too.

Uhhhh ... "squidgy"?

Can someone clue me in about what that means, or do I need to find a Scottish-English dictionary?

UrbanDictionary.com says:

squidgy
soft and squishy (often a bit chubby, too.)

What a freaking idiot!

First off, elite vaulters have great bottoms. Hardly squidgy.

Second, there is definately something wrong with having a squidgy bottom. Most women in the world need to get their asses in shape (can I say that?). The world will be a much happier place.

Yeah... I am curious if his idea a squidgy is different...
