Re: world junior (U20) record
According to the IAAF: the World Junior Record for men is 5.80m and is held by Tarassov. 5.67m is not a World junior record.

Maybe 5.80 is the outdoor record and this is the indoor.[/quote]
Rainbow Girl you are on the ball. It is being given by the Russians as WJR and therefore can only be the Indoor Record. I could not find Indoor Junior World Record for Pole Vault on the IAAF site. Below is the result as extracted from TILOSTOPAJA web site.
Pole vault 1 February Russia National Championships Penza
1 Leonid Kivalov RUS Birth. 1.4.88 5.67m WJR
2 Sergey Pogorelov RUS Birth. 5.3.88 5.35m PB
3 Yevgeniy Ageyev RUS Birth. 12.2.88 5.30m
So, subject to ratification by the IAAF, it is a World Junior Men's Pole Vault Record (Indoors).

That was obvious to me also. However the difficulty is whether it will be, or can be recognised by the IAAF, and ratified by this organisation the world governing body of the sport. If it is, this performance can be accepted the Official World Junior Men's Indoor PV Record. I have been unable to find any IAAF ratified Junior World PV Records for competitions held Indoors. The IAAF has however ratified Junior World Records (Male /Female) for competitions held Outdoors. The IAAF has not published, on their official web site, Pole Vault records for Juniors in indoor competitions. See the other thread on this topic to understand the issue raised.
I remind Achtung that there are two hemispheres that make make up this planet known as the World! The Northern hemisphere is not the only zone of the planet where pole vaulters jump. "Aussie men", are currently doing rather well on the global scene, whether they compete indoors or outdoors, in summer or in winter. It's a pity our junior and lower age groups do not have the same opportunity to put officially ratifiable indoor as well as outdoor records on the board!
