Petrov is there coaching her. I think I saw Toby and another vaulter as well, which is somewhat random since there is no men's PV at this meet.

He was in Linz three days ago. What else would he do on a Friday in Europe?

The website says she is going straight for a WR 5.03

I don't know my European geography very well, so I don;t have a clue how far one meet is from another ;)

The crowd gets a strong clap going for Isinbayeva. Toby, Jeff Hartwig, and someone else look on next to Petrov.

She is under and gets rocked by the pole and bails out.

The announcers are discussing the fact that it is relatively recent that an athlete is able to walk across the track and speak to their coach. One announcer feels that it is OK for a meet like this, but that they should not be allowed to do so in championship meets.

It looks somewhat chilly out. Isy wraps herself in a blanket and retapes her pole.

LOL she must be the only thing left in the meet because this is all they are showing.

Isy wraps herself completely in the blanket like a little kid hiding under their blankie, then she pops out and gets back on the runway.

Now she is applying goo to the pole.

2nd attempt at 5.03...

She sank on the takeoff and squashed the pole. Not even close.

The announcer wonders aloud whether she will take her 3rd attempt... I think he just wants to get out of there.

The crowd of 47,000 has stuck around to watch her 3rd attempt at 5.03.

Her 3rd attempt was her best one, but still not a great attempt.
