Isinbayeva's latest pole vault world record ratified by IAAF

MONTE CARLO, Monaco: Yelena Isinbayeva's latest indoor pole vault world record was ratified Tuesday by the International Association of Athletics Federations.

The Russian cleared 4.93 meters on Feb. 10 in Donetsk, Ukraine, breaking her previous record by two centimeters. Isinbayeva had cleared 4.91 on Feb. 12, 2006, at the same event.

Isinbayeva, who has set 20 words records, also holds the outdoor world record at 5.01 meters. She set that record on Aug. 12, 2005, at the world championships in Helsinki, Finland.
